Welcome to the Memorial School ELL (English Language Learning) Program! 

It will be so nice to work with students in-person this year! We are always working together to improve our English!

ACCESS for ELLs 2022 test results have been shared with teachers and families. Congratulations to our students that have become proficient in English. I will be meeting with all of our new students for screening/testing before classes begin in a few weeks.

Our continuing ELL students will continue to work on sharpening their skills this year.

Our ESL program is always growing and changing. We have students from Korea, China, Ecuador, Ethiopia, Colombia, Macedonia, Ukraine, India, Dominican Republic, Puerto Rico, Venezuela and right here in the United States to name a few. 

We have been focusing on improving our listening, speaking, reading and writing skills. We will learn about topics such as grammar, vocabulary, spelling, phonics, syntax, idioms, culture, traditions and holidays.
